Riding the light rail downtown

So, today me, Abby, Papa Bear (aka: Grandpa Dey), Uncle Brian and Tavish took the train (aka:light rail) downtown. What a blast! I have not taken the light rail from Aurora to downtown before and I really enjoyed it. We got on the train at 10:00 am, went downtown and had lunch at Chili's and rode the train back. It was a quick and simple day but the kids LOVED it!! Tavish wanted to run up and down the train and Abby loved looking out the window. I realized today that we should take the light rail more often because it was so easy and cheap. Maybe now I wont be afraid to go downtown!!

Abby even found a Jehovah Witness magazine to read! Ha-Ha

Down on the farm!

On Saturday we all went to Sunflower Farms in Longmont and had a great day! What a fun place to go. If you have not been, I suggest you go. The kids had a ball. There were lots of animals including rabbits, turtles, goats, horses, llamas, and much, much more. They had about a dozen swings hanging from huge tress and a cool tree house. It was completely child directed. It was really fun hanging out with Grandmom, uncle Brian, Aunt Jan, Tavish, Aunt Tiffany, and Brianna.

Wow! Chuck-E-Cheese and Grandmom's house all in one day! We surprised the girls last Saturday and took them to Chuck-E-Cheese. They had a blast! Of course we were shocked by the cheap price and delicious food!! Ha-Ha! It is so ridiculously expensive and the food was horrible but that's ok I guess as long as the girls had fun. And they did! :)

Ok, I admit it, I even had fun. Abby loves to play the race car games, so we played on together. I admit, I am not so good. Although she thought it was fun to keep crashing!!

When our fun was done at Chuck-E-Cheese we went to Grandmom's house. Uncle Brian, Aunt Jan, and Tavish come over too. It was like a holiday! We do not get to spend time all together very often. It was a lot of fun. The kids got to eat dinner at the "kids table". They thought they were so big!

After dinner, Uncle Brian took the kids for a ride! Papa Lyal bought the kids a little car and they love it! They all squeezed in and went in circles. It reminded me of my high school days!! All my friends and I cramming in a car and driving in circles all night looking for boys!! :) The kids had a great time and that's what matters...right??

Putting positive energy out into the universe!

Some people may think I am crazy but I have decided to throw positive energy out into the universe and plan for my new baby. I have decided to set up the nursery and get everything ready as if he (or maybe she) is coming home tomorrow. So I have decorated the nursery in a jungle theme (which I have always wanted) and I LOVE IT! I don't know if God is giving me a boy or a girl or when he will send them home with me but I am ready. Losing Annabelle was the hardest thing I have ever been through. She will always have a special place in my heart. And luckily I will be able to see her again one day. But I am ready for another baby. I really feel as if I need to replace sad with happy. A new baby will bring joy to me again! Anyway, I am anxiously waiting for my little angel to come home. And when they are ready, I am ready too. :)

And then there are my other sweet angels!

Silly aren't they?

Friends, Fits, and Fun!

Well, today was my first day off track. We had a great day. Abby played with all her best buddies, Luke, Cooper, Brianna, Tavish, and Eli. William even came over in the afteroon to play! They played soccer, dress up, and cars.

And then we went to school...and that's where the "fits" come in. Abby threw her first fit at school. She did not want to wear her coat outside, so she proceeded to throw a fit for her teacher. I can't imagine why she doesn't like coats...it's not like her mother hates coats or anything *wink* wink* And then she wanted to go play at her new friend Chloe's house and threw another fit after school. I will make an excuse for her today though..she does have a cold. I know...quit making excuses for your daughter...I know, I know! :)

Tavish and Brianna love to try on all the winter hats and gloves. It is really very cute. Although they make a HUGE mess!

Hanging out on the Ranch!

On Saturday me, Papa Bear, Abby, Tiffany, and Brianna all went to Highlands Ranch Cowboy Days. It was held at the Highlands Ranch Mansion, which brought back tons of memories for me. When I was younger my dad's company had their company picnics there every year. We used to play volleyball, softball, swimming, and much more. Anyway, yesterday was what they called Cowboy Days. The girls got to go in a petting zoo and feed the goats, horse, donkey, llamas, camels, etc. Unfortunately Abby didn't listen to our instructions and got nipped on the finger by the horse. Of course she was too upset to continue feeding the animals so we moved on. Next we watched some Native American dancers and got to visit with some sheep.

Finally we went into the mansion. Abby loved the ballroom and said "Mommy, this this where you get married. Hey, mommy...please I get married?" She must has asked me that 45 more times through out the mansion. It was very cute. I told her that maybe mommy will get married and she can be in my wedding! One can hope right?? Anyway, we had a great time. It was fun to hang out with Grandpop Tom (aka: papa bear) and the weather was beautiful. Go to Abby's picture albums to see more fun filled pictures of our day.

Well, I am finally off track! Whoo hoo! I do not have to go back to work until September 30th. I can't tell you how much I need this break. I know, I know, what am I complaining about? I feel very blessed to have such a great job. I love having so much time off to spend with Abby. Hey, who knows...maybe I will get a new little one soon!! Either way, I plan to enjoy my time off and spend as much time with Abby as possible. Unfortunately, I started my vacation off with a cold. I have been so sick all day today. Abby is sick too. :( I am sure we will both be better son and enjoying my break together! :)

Kickin' back, readin' a book!
